{bliss} finding your soulmate

I had the honor of photographing a beautiful wedding last Saturday. I have never photographed a Catholic wedding where a full Mass was preformed so it was something new for me, which you know I always enjoy! There was of course no camera flash allowed during the ceremony so it was also a bit of a technical challenge … which of course was fun as well. This was an intimate wedding with close friends and family and it was wonderful to see all of the little personal touches throughout the day. I especially loved the candle ceremony! Here are just a few of my favorite shots…

{surprising} sunshine in December

We lucked out and had the most beautiful weather for this session! It was of course “pre-snow” :) We had a great time just driving around town and stopping when we saw something interesting… love those kind of sessions! no plan just fun shooting!

Roseburg High School Senior

p.s. Don’t forget… RHS has changed their yearbook photo deadline for Seniors this year! It is now February 2nd! We have a few sessions available in January but if you haven’t had your senior portraits taken this year you need to call soon!

Snow Day in Roseburg!

I know that you are all feeling a little photo deprived since I haven’t posted in awhile, but you have to remember that this time of year MANY of my sessions are for Christmas surprises so I can’t post them and risk ruining the surprise. Because I live on a little bit of a hill it doesn’t take much for me to be snow bound… today is one of those days. Luckily I am snowbound with a NEW camera so I had to do a little bit of playing!

Bella is still not too sure about the cold white stuff… she tends to stick to the path unless it is absolutely necessary to walk in the snow…

Goldie, however, is all about the snow!

{insane} having a photo shoot with pugs!

Oh, my gosh! I don’t know what I was thinking but I decided to do Christmas photos of the dogs… ALL by MYSELF! Insane! Actually they did pretty well, with lots of treats… or at least Goldie did. Bella is younger and still doesn’t get why the lights are flashing at her, and she felt like the Santa hats were really more for eating! She is also no big fan of Christmas lights… crazy crazy times I tell you! I had to use the antlers on her because they were too tight for her to knock off, which gives her the “I just had a face lift” look… but oh well. :) Here are two of our “individual” shots and you can see the ONLY shot of the two of them together at the top of the blog. Now I know how all of you mom’s feel when you say you just want one good one of all the “kids”!

{skater} one who skateboards… ALL of the time!

This poor guy would probably have preferred to be doing just about anything other than having his senior photos taken. So, a deal was cut… some nice ones for mom… and some of him on his board for him! :)

{American Girls} these three sisters

If you aren’t familiar with the American Girl doll line then you don’t know any little girls! These dolls are “all the rage”! Each doll comes with a name and a story. Not only does American Girl have dolls they have all sorts of other things as well, things such as clothes so that you can match your doll. These three girls arrived at the studio with their American Girl outfits on and with their dolls, but “sadly” the dolls did not have matching outfits… or so the girls thought! As you will see from the photos below… there was a little surprise in store for them!

First, before the surprise…

{bright} Em’s new smile without her braces!

Emily couldn’t get in fast enough for her senior portraits once her braces were taken off! I have to agree, they are pretty nice teeth! ha ha! Emily is so fun to photograph because she is always up for anything, and she rocks the serious looks!
