{puppy love} this boy and his dogs

Now as some of you may have realized, I LOVE dogs! I am always thrilled when people want photos with the family pet because I think it is so important to have good portraits to remember them by. That being said, the thought of a 6 yr old and a new puppy can be a little daunting… luckily this puppy was one of the most relaxed and well behaved that I have seen in a LONG time… of course I am used to the crazy pugs! And of course the puppy’s “big brother” Conner was a very good example of a well behaved dog. :)

{tobypalooza} crazy fun wedding event!!

This wedding was amazing! I dubbed it “tobypalooza” because Toby (the groom) was the man behind the curtain at the four day event that included his wedding to Heather. Heather, I am sure, was the organizational rock that made everything possible… but the event definitely had “toby” written all over it. How many weddings have you been too where the bride and groom were lead from the ceremony area by a Samba band??? OH, and did I mention the flamenco dancer? or the fire dancers that performed after dark??? yeah… it was a FUN wedding!!

{Beautiful} this wedding

What a beautiful wedding this was! You could tell that the bride had spent a lot of time on all of the details AND we had beautiful weather as well! Here are just a couple of my favorites. :)

{busy} Ms. Madison

This little gal was VERY busy during our session… not un-typical with a 14 month old I might add. She was very interested in all of the wildlife at the park so she looked pretty serious a lot of the time but boy did she have smiles for her dad!

{grand} this beautiful wedding

Another amazing wedding for me, Lisa and Jay were married at McMenamins Grand Lodge, located in Forest Grove, Oregon. The building was built in 1922 as a Masonic & Eastern Star home and has been renovated by McMenamins, the inside is wonderful… tons of artwork on the walls and a real European feel. The outside is gorgeous as well, but it has to be said that on Saturday it was also really hot! :) I had a very hard time picking just three of my favorites to share with you, be sure and watch the slideshow when it is posted tomorrow to see even more fantastic shots (if I do say so myself!) :) The first photo is when Lisa and Jay had their “first glance”. Many savy brides choose to do all of the posed photos prior to the ceremony so that they can have more time and so that it is less stressful… BUT… we still want it to be special when the groom sees his bride for the first time so we set up a private meeting for the two of them. I have not had a bride yet who regretted going this route with their photos and I know that we get many more photos of the bride and groom together by doing it this way… K… I know… enough rambling right? Here are the photos! :)
