dog photography | southern oregon pet photographer

If you have read my blog for any length of time you know that I love animals! I have been offering pet photography here in the studio for awhile but I have finally added a gallery of pet images to my website. So far we haven’t had any brave kitty owners come in but they are welcome! I love love love cats and dogs! Once our weather perks up a bit I will be offering some on location pet photography as well because I know many dogs, and especially cats, are more comfortable at home.

To view the new gallery just go to Dulce Phelps Photography and enter the portrait site!

and because no post is complete without some photos!

Roseburg High School Swim Team | roseburg oregon senior photographer

Two of my High School Senior Models are on the Roseburg High Swim Team… so of course I had to take a few photos of them in the pool! I must say that shooting in the YMCA pool area is not ideal! The lighting is pretty horrible because it is all florescent, and it is SO hot and humid in there that my poor camera fogged right up… which is SO not good for it … but anything for some fun shots!

2009 Roseburg First Citizens | roseburg oregon photographer

It was a big night in Roseburg last night, the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 First Citizens Banquet was held in Douglas Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. I know two of the winners personally so I wanted to be sure and acknowledge their accomplishment here. Sandy Bratton was awarded 2009 Female First Citizen. Sandy works tirelessly for many charities and always has a smile on her face. She is also the owner of American Home Lending which as you might imagine also takes a ton of time… AND she is a grandma! even more time consuming. :)   You can read all about her volunteerism in the NewsReview article. Congratulations Sandy you deserve it!!

The other big news is that one of my High School Senior Models was chosen as 2009 Future First Citizen! Congratulations Kelsea Bittner! Kelsea has been a joy to work with this year, she always has a great attitude and a smile on her face. As part of her award she received a $6000 scholarship! Just great great news!

Of course no post would be complete without a photo so here is the design that Kelsea choose for the front of her flip book. Flip books are one of our most popular products for graduating seniors because they include so many photos!

love ya Kels!

austin | roseburg newborn photographer

When Austin’s mommy booked his session I suggested that she bring along any items that were special. She told me that Austin’s daddy was a very into hunting so she had the perfect item… a camo blanket! And you know what Austin loved that blanket! :) These are just a few of my favorites from Austin’s session… it was hard to choose for this little guy! Don’t you love his hair!?

patrick | roseburg newborn photographer

Oh how I love Patrick’s little face! it is just so “smooshable”! It makes such a difference when moms bring in the new babies early, 6-10 days old is the optimal time for the sweet sleepy baby shots. Patrick’s poor mom was worried that we would miss the “perfect time” because he had a little jaundice, but he was perfect as perfect could be!
