I got to know the Pierce family when I did Larissa’s Senior Portraits last year so I was very excited when her mother called and said that they wanted to do family portraits! Beautiful day and perfect session, we had so much fun!!

I have been taking photos for the Dawson family since the boys were born and I just love them! They are such little characters, and 100% all BOY! I about died when Drew was showing Carter how to start the 4-wheeler up!

Poor Candice and Josh had been trying to have their portraits taken together since December! Can you believe it? We really wanted to do the portraits at their home on the river because it is SO pretty but the weather and work schedule’s gave us quite a hard time making it a reality! However, we all agreed that it was well worth the wait, and summer weather definitely showcased their property much better.

Sometimes I think that I would lose my head if it wasn’t attached! Can you believe that I forgot to post photos on the blog from this session?! Why did no one remind me?! Seriously, I have been a big fan of Amy Roloff from TLC’s Little People Big World for a long time. I watched the show regularly and loved Amy’s no nonsense approach to life. Last Fall I was asked to photograph Amy specifically, but the whole family as well, for the cover of MOM Magazine. I was thrilled to not only meet, but to photograph, my first “celebrity”! Amy was exactly how I had imagined, very welcoming and gracious. Now that they are no longer filming the show Amy is focusing on her charity foundation so be sure to check that out!

She gave us a quick tour of the farm and then we got to work! I had always loved a particular shot of her that ran during the intro to their show, one of her at sunset with long grass… well it wasn’t sunset, and the neighbors had just mowed… but we did still get to use that location! We had to get permission from the producers to tear Zach and Jeremy away from taping the last show to do the family photo… but it was well worth it as Amy loved the shot we got! Here are a couple of my favorites from the day.

Amazing session! Jaden had one of our extended sessions which allows for a lot of outfit changes which was great because she brought a TON! Luckily we had mom and sis (and even dad for part of the session) along to help us make crucial shoe decisions! ha ha! I can’t take much credit for our results, gorgeous girl+ great outfits+great attitude=awesome senior pics!

I even got a super cute photo of Jaden with her little Sis! I <3 it!

I just love it when couples whose weddings I have photographed come to me with their new babies! Sara and David are great parents, didn’t even get too stressed when we had to scratch our first attempt at portraits because a certain young man had other ideas about the day! I love this photo, totally shows who the focus of their world is now… little Jackson! And because they signed up for our Milestone Program I am looking forward to seeing them again when Jackson is sitting up… my favorite stage!
