It will be held tomorrow at Stewart Park from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. They will be having a group dog walk, Agility Dog and Disc Dog Demonstrations, a dog/owner lookalike contest, raffles and much more!  Be sure to get there early because the first 100 dogs will also receive a free goody bag from Companion Animal Clinic! I will have a booth so please come by to say “hi”. I will have some specials and a drawing that you can enter as well!

I have been offering pet photography here in the studio for awhile but I have finally added a gallery of pet images to my website. So far we haven’t had any brave kitty owners come in but they are welcome! I love love love cats and dogs! Once our weather perks up a bit I will be offering some on location pet photography as well because I know many dogs, and especially cats, are more comfortable at home.

It was the best of times…. it was the craziest of times… and in the end we raised $680 for Saving Grace! We got some great, and some very funny, pet portraits… be sure to check back on Wednesday for my favorites! For now… you will just have to look at the two cutest subjects in the world… my pugs Bella and Goldie! We just took this photo this morning and I don’t think Goldie was totally awake! :)

I just had to pass this information on to you in hopes that someone will read it and give one of these sweet animals a “forever home”. Shelter animals are often the best option for families because most of them have gone through that puppy/kitten stage and are going to be MUCH easier to assimilate into your home. “On Saturday, August 15, 2009, in recognition of National Homeless Animal Day, the dogs from Saving Grace will be transported away from the stresses of their sheltered lives, to a park-like setting at Mill Creek Bookkeeping, 4900 NE Stephens Street, Winchester (across from the Winchester Nursery).  This off-site adoption event will be held from 1pm – 4pm and ALL dog adoptions will cost only $99 – this cost includes: spay/neuter; microchip; licensing (if age appropriate); initial vaccines (including rabies, if age appropriate); Frontline (flea/tick) treatment, deworming AND a free visit to your preferred veterinarian!
